A downline distributor is a recruited distributor from whom the sponsor (the one who recruited them) gains commissions. Every compensation plan involves recruiting other distributors to help sell the company’s product. Some compensation plans provide higher commissions for recruiting successful distributors (quality over quantity). Other plans only focus on simply hiring more distributors (quantity over quality). Overall, downline distributors help sponsors gain extra commissions.

On Social Media, reach out to 1-5 people each day and send them a message that makes them feel good. You can leave them a nice comment that genuinely makes them feel good. I will add, this is NOT the time to share any Call To Action or business links. This is only a message to compliment or leave them feeling really good. (Commit to doing this for 30 days, heck – let’s do a Year!) What this does over time, is it creates a community of people that think you’re Awesome and if you have a ton of people who are following you and think you Rock, the more people that will interested in what it is you’re doing.

40. People in MLM that come across like they have a dollar/euro bill stuck on their forehead face massive resistance. Your prospect feels your hand already reaching for their money. Yes, you must get paid for what you do, but if you have a much better chance of doing business with them, if you ask for their help initially, vs. coming across like you want to sell them something. Seek their input FIRST, then seek the sale. You will be glad you did.


These actions are both business professional and duplicatable — the kind of actions you want to encourage your distributors to model. Honoring your intention to make and keep your marketing promises is an almost 100 percent guarantee of success in a network marketing business.
For example, Lowes may provide a free DIY class on how to repair drywall. The people who are most interested in that class probably have a hole in their drywall that needs to get fixed (target audience). Once they finish that class and learn about all of the tools, supplies they'll need to complete the project, where do you think they're going to go buy those supplies?
Multi-level marketing is a strategy some direct-sales companies use to encourage their existing distributors to recruit new distributors by paying the existing distributors a percentage of their recruits' sales. The recruits are the distributor's "downline." All distributors also make money through direct sales of products to customers. You should be able to retain and share all the stories involved in your business with your prospects. The more stories you share about your company or business with people, the more you expose your business opportunity to the world and attract more people. I don’t know much about World Ventures, Greg. I do have some very respected friends in the business who build that business and I do trust them. In ANY network marketing business, it more often comes down to what the independent business owner is putting IN to their business. Are they following the plan religiously? There is no company out there that can legitimately promise a get-rich-quick plan. You have to assume MLM is a 4+ year build – and only then when you’re going full-out. Most people don’t have the stamina for that – but if they do or can learn it, people can make a lot of money in many different companies.

46. There are people out in the industry that will tell you recruiting is Selling, and Selling is Recruiting. They are wrong. Selling is Transaction based, and Recruiting is Transformation based. Selling is a one time event, where Recruiting births many events in the future. Selling is about CLOSING people. Recruiting is about OPENING futures. Don’t be misled. They are 2 totally different processes, with different skill sets needed, no matter what some folks say.
If you build a motivated sales team, you could potentially earn a substantial amount of residual income, which means more free time to grow your business.
